The accounting program offers curricula leading to the Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. We offer this program on-campus in Natchitoches, online, and in a competency-based format (through Electronic and Continuing Education). We also stream selected accounting classes to the Leesville/Fort Polk, Alexandria, and Marksville campuses each semester.

Globalization, a growing economy, and a complex tax and regulatory environment are expected to continue to lead to strong demand for accountants and auditors.

According to US News and World Report, accounting is number 3 in Best Business Jobs. Salaries could start around $50K. Some could make more than $200k+ within 10 years. Accounting deals with more than numbers: Just ask a CEO, CFO or a CPA. Other careers for accounting majors include: Budget analysts, a loan office, auditor, corporate accountant, economist, controller and even FBI agent.
