Small Business Development Center

The University's economic development efforts are spearheaded by the Small Business Development Center.  The SBDC is a service center within the Louisiana SBDC.  It is assigned ten parishes, these being Natchitoches Parish and nine other parishes stretching from east to west across the middle of the state.  However, the reputation of the NSU SBDC is such that many clients from outside the region seek assistance here rather than from their regional SBDC.  Selected accomplishment measures are training workshops, clients and businesses served, jobs created or retained and total capitalization of businesses.

We have two locations serving Central Louisiana: NSU-SBDC-Natchitoches and NSU-SBDC-Alexandria
