Faculty Meeting Minutes
October 15, 2004

Dr. Joel Worley, Dean, called the meeting to order to 2 PM.

Margaret Kilcoyne announced that student attendance tickets are available to the 10 AM session 
of the J. Walter Porter Forum scheduled for October 27th.  They can be obtained from the secretaries.

Dr. Worley presented four items:
* The itinerary for the AACSBI visiting team was reviewed.  See attached.
* Additional efforts are underway across campus to advise 'weak' students.  Students with GPA's of 
2.0 or less are being asked to see their advisor.  Dr. Worley is also visiting all sophomore accounting 
classes to encourage students to do well.
* Faculty are advised to report any threatening behavior on the part of students to the Dean.
* Faculty are encouraged to consider sources of funding for the Barry Smiley Professorship and for 
the establishment of a COB Chair.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:40 PM.
