Accounting

One student in every five seeks a four-year degree in Accounting.

Majoring in accounting prepares the student for entry into many different careers. The Bachelor of Science in Accounting program prepares diverse career paths by offering courses in financial and managerial accounting, cost accounting, tax, audit, accounting information systems and governmental accounting.

Freshman Year Courses: Microcomputer Applications, English Composition & Rhetoric I and II, College Algebra, Survey of Calculus, Orientation, Health and Personal Fitness, History, Introduction to Psychology, Physical and Life Sciences, Fundamentals of Speech

Sophomore Year Courses: Financial Accounting, Basic Business Statistics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, English Literature, , Business Reports and Communication, Exploring the Arts, Science Elective, Behavioral Science Elective, and two Academic Electives

Junior Year Courses: Income Taxes, Cost Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Money and Banking, Business Law I, Business Finance, Operations Management, Organization and Management, Principles of Marketing, Business Elective

Senior Year Courses: Intermediate Accounting III, Advanced Accounting, Auditing, Financial Policies and Practices, Management Policy, International Business, Accounting Electives, Academic Elective
